Why the “& Storage” is the wedge
Most Houston movers either don’t store, or they sub-out to a PODS yard the customer never sees. We own the warehouse — 30,000 sqft on Long Point Rd, climate-controlled to 55% humidity, sprinklered, racked for both vault and pallet. Daily or monthly at $185/mo. Your boxes never leave 1st Choice hands between move dates.
This matters most for three recurring jobs: closing-gap holds when your new house isn’t ready, PCS military moves with a flexible hand-off date, and the estate-sale staging that comes with downsizing parents out of a Bellaire or West University house.
The Med Center and the Energy Corridor
Two of our service lines exist because Houston has two industries the rest of the country doesn’t at this scale: energy and medicine. Trent runs the ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, BP America, Halliburton transferee desk — Memorial Drive houses, I-10 West office towers, Energy Corridor townhouses. Devin and Sarah co-run the Med Center desk: MD Anderson, Memorial Hermann, Houston Methodist, Texas Children’s, Baylor, around the July 1st residency cycle.
- Walk-through with Bryan at the home end
- Hospital or campus access protocols logged with Amanda
- After-hours window scheduled with Sarah
- Trent or Devin runs the crew on the day
